OSB We offer non-polished OSB produced by Egger (Austria). Boards we supply have such dimensions as 2500x1250 mm and 6, 10, 18 mm thickness.
General info
Oriented structural board or oriented strand board (OSB) entered the market of panel materials in 1980 as a result of the newest research and development in technology' of wooden composite materials. Success, attained by OSB application, exceeded expectations of designers, engineers, constructors and builders. Oriented strand boards are made of large-sized strands oriented lengthwise and edgewise.

Coniferous wood, alder, birch and aspen are used for production of strands. A machine arranges, as a rule, the strands in three layers to form a mat. The strands for the faces are oriented parallel with the long direction of the panel. The core layers are oriented edgewise. A final phase of OSB production includes pressurized high temperature pressing of the formed mat, trimming of OSB to basic size and sanding (unsanded boards can be delivered at customer's request).OSB is a result of all the above-mentioned technological operations. OSB meets modern precise requirements on panel materials, at the same time it is free of the following defects peculiar to natural wooden products and even to plywood: knots, fallen knots, stratification, hollows, interior splits.

Egger Eurostrand OSB is a resin-bonded flatly pressed board of three layers made out of oriented strands (micro-veneers). The product makes efficient use of softwood derived from thinning and forestry management. OSB is used for timber frame construction, interior fittings, exhibition stands, concrete boarding and in the packaging industry.

Characteristics of OSB:
  1. High mechanical strength
  2. Dimensional stability under damp conditions
  3. Optimal orientation of strands
  4. Superior surface finishing - ContiFine
  5. Depending on type of bonding, can be used in dry or damp areas
