One of the main components in furniture production is melamine faced chipboard. It's produced based on chipboard faced with special laminate materials.

There are some ways of chipboard facing:

1. Paper-tarred films facing.
2. Paper-laminated plastic facing.
3. Polymer film facing.
4. Organic veneer sheet facing.
5. Facing with paint, varnish, phenolformaldehyde resin etc.

The surface of melamine faced chipboard may be smooth or imitate the relief of wood grain or pearl. There is a variety of colors and textures. Melamine faced chipboard is extremely resistant to high temperature and household chemical goods. It is used as a decorative product for furniture and interior applications.
